I was working as a personal banker up until earlier this year. It was a sales job, surprisingly, and I was forced to meet quotas while kissing the asses of the rich on their high horses and the financially irresponsible citizens of our town. I would wake up in the middle of the night with fits of anxiety, not to mention I just had one of the worst break ups in my life, which later led me into a depression.
I'm also an avid gamer, or at least it's one of my hobbies, so I usually retreated to my consoles ( yeah yeah... I'm not a pc gamer... yet >_>) to escape the thralls of my day to day life. Especially during this time, it was my only consolation really, I have a few friends, and I prefer it this way, since my forward attitude usually drives people away, or these individuals who I attempt to call friends end up just sucking... I really shouldn't get into it.
Anyway...
At the time, my muse was Dragon Age Inquisition. Long story short, if I didn't initiate a dialog with Cassandra ( soon to be the divine) I wouldn't have made the next big turn that would change my life. In her words, or roughly at least,
" Do not complain about something you're not willing to change yourself."
Not only did I adopt this into the many ways of Janna, I quit my job I decided to finally begin chasing after my passions in life. I've collaborated with a few gentlemen working on a graphic novel and began focusing full time on my schooling in animation. I've been the happiest I've been in years.
BTW, When we get the first issue out I hope you guys will read it. I'll be posting it here so you guys get first dibs.
Even if this dies and fades away into the oblivion of DA, I needed to say it.
Thank you, with love.

Draw
Draw: Draw at all times: Draw people near you, draw the trees and plants, the animals and insects. Draw when you're happy, draw when you're sad. Draw in boring meetings, draw at the airport, draw kids at the park, just draw everywhere.
Keep a sketchbook like you would keep a journal. Some people say that they draw all the time but that they never use a sketchbook because they are afraid that they have to do great drawings in case someone asks if they can see it. After you get past the fear of showing your sketches, there is a liberation that you begin to feel. You will draw for entertainment's sake and not to necessarily please anybody.
